Two people can have the same words on an MRI report and need completely different things. One needs surgery within days, the other needs six weeks of patience and physiotherapy. Nothing written here can tell you which of those you are. That is what the consultation is for.

When not to read, and act instead

Go to a hospital now, do not wait for an appointment, if you have any of these:

Loss of control of your bladder or bowels, or numbness around the groin and inner thighs
Weakness in a leg or arm that is getting worse over hours or days
Back pain with fever, or after a serious fall or accident
Sudden severe headache unlike any you have had, or weakness down one side of the body
